Randall, at age 12years
6months, had a reading age of 8years 9months, but was highly motivated. At testing he said “he wanted to be a
SCIENTIST”. After only 8 weeks on the
READWELL program his reading age had reached 13years 6months. At age 15 he has enrolled part time in a
Chemistry degree at Griffith University while still at high school. READWELL has allowed those DREAMS to begin.
Eugene, aged 60, a successful
businessman had just retired. On an
overseas holiday he couldn’t read the simplest sign. On returning he saw Bruce on the national Current Affairs
program, ACA and decided he wanted to learn to READ. Bruce found that Eugene had only a few basic words. Bruce designed a specialist SIMPLISTIC program for Eugene and his
wife to work together on. Within 10 weeks Eugene was able to read the paper and even got a boat licence, insisting
that the tester make him ‘READ the Q’s’ before he answered. Although very successful in business he had
reached his GREATEST GOAL, to be able to READ.
Ellie, aged 5, was diagnosed as having
problems with her auditory and visual memory which lead to problems in reading
and mathematics when she began school.
Bruce designed a daily program for her parents taking only 15 minutes
per day. She is now an average student
at school.
Jade, aged 4, was diagnosed with poor fine motor skills (at a 2 year old level). Bruce designed a FUN program combining physiotherapy principles and educational principles. When she began school her writing skills were normal.
Christopher came to Bruce aged 6 with development delays of approximately 2 years, particularly gross and fine motor skills, and visual perception problems. At school Chris said and did little. He had the reading age of a pre-schooler. At home, Chris was dynamic, throwing tantrums of frustration. He threw household items at his mother many times a week and this would run for hours. Christopher is not A.D.D. Once Bruce got him beginning to read, Christopher's aggression had totally disappeared. He told Bruce recently that he is longer dumb. In year 2, Chris received 3 awards for reading.
Eugene, at age 12, was experiencing difficulties in maths. After doing the test on which he scored 25 out of 60, he went to the Cruicks Maths Programme. After only 8 weeks on the programme, he was retested scoring a total of 58 out of 60. This success has continued into High School, and he now enjoys maths.
Natasha, at age 12, was only able to read 10 words. She could not recognise any 'sight words' and had no knowledge of word sounds. Bruce promptly identified Natasha's visual perceptual problems and designed a special programme for her to use at home. After only 3 weeks, Natasha's 'sight vocabulary' had increased to hundreds of words. She is now working on a second stage of the programme and in 6 to 8 weeks is expected to have full word attack skills.
Lisa Cochran (aged 36, pre school
Director). “I have used the Cruicks Pre-School Inventory for a period of 3
years. It is the most accurate testing
tool I’ve ever used. It tests areas
that we were never trained in. The teaching programs are sensational. The children love them. I highly recommend this program to anyone
who cares about the future for their children.”
